Game 1 -- Burnes 17XYH RH versus Darvish 18xzG RH

 

The WWI Flyings Aces sent 10 batters to the plate in a 6 run second inning, highlighted by a Jose Ramirez bases clearing triple followed by a DJ LeMahieu 2 run HR, staking Aliquippa to a lead it would not surrender in a 13-3 win over Delphi in game 1.

 

W -- Darvish; L -- Burnes

HR -- DEL -- Myers, ALI -- LeMahieu (2), D'Arnaud, Smith

 

 

Game 2 -- Woodruff 12xz RH  versus  Keuchel 18ZH LH

 

Aliquippa opens the scoring in the bottom of the first on a DSmith RBI double, but Delphi ties it on a Chris Taylor 4-base error in the top of the second.  The WWI Flying Aces tack on one in the second on a Chris Taylor RBI double, and 2 in the third on a Travis D'Arnaud 2 run HR, taking a 4-1 lead.  The Oracles put up a two-spot in the fourth on a Pollock RBI single, follow by a Marte RBI double to pull within 4-3.  A Rowdy Tellez solo HR in the top of the sixth knots the score at 4, but Lourdes Gurriel's RBI single puts the Aces ahead by 1 in the bottom of the inning.  Wil Myers drives in Paul Goldschmidt in the top of the seventh tying the score at 5, which stayed that way unitl the tenth inning, When Aaron Hicks scores the winning run on an Ozzie Albies ground out on a fielding three roll by SS-9 Story, in a failed attempt of a DP, giving Delphi a 6-5 win to tie the series at 1.
